November 2, 2009
dear granny,
today is monday!
usually that’s not exciting, but today was :]
Mostly it’s because I cranked out my speech for communications last night/this morning until 4am, but that means I only have to practice, now.
I also am going to be seeing Anberlin in less than 24 hours! ahhh! so excited!
Then, what’s almost even MORE exciting is that I get to go see Brandon Heath next thursday with Alicia and… someone else might meet us there (it just might be a boy… haha, who said that? shhh) because he said he’d try to get tickets tomorrow.
I am SO excited. Freaking out, pretty much.
We had a sort-of party for Alicia (we all hung out in her and her suitemates’ rooms.
We may have played some practical jokes on some boys.
It may have resulted in war.
This war may or may not be over…
I hope it’s over though, because the pranks are starting to escalate.
But I’m not doing anything else because the jibjab video was my gambit. I’ve got nothing left I’m willing to pull, mostly due to legal reasons. hahahah.
I hope you’re having a wonderful week.
I still get an intense amount of butterflies from someone not even present.
love,
♥ marah

October 15, 2009
dear granny,
today is thursday.
my day was fine.
then it was crappy.
mostly because of art.
You see, I was essentially done with my rendering and I knew that all I had to do was some touch-ups to even out the shading.
About 5 other people had left the class already and the professor was in-and-out of the room already, so I figured it was ‘leave when you’re done’ kind of thing.
WRONG.
He happened to be walking in as I was walking out and, not that he’s mean or yelling or anything, he says “we have a while left, yet, about 45 minutes. Are you sure you don’t want to use that time?”
and then, instead of going back to my room as planned, I wind up being told what’s wrong with the shading (stuff I already knew) and that “it’s [my] choice with what I do with the time…”
but then, as I’m shading and being angry in the corner, someone ELSE gets up and leaves while he’s not looking.
SO.
NOT.
FAIR.
I just had the worst luck with that.
blehhhhh I never want to do another stupid rendering.
I chucked my sketchbook into the drawer as soon as he left the room because I’m refusing to work on it anymore because I don’t see anything wrong with it after a whole stupid half hour of NOTHING changing on it.
Math study group went ok.
And I got most of my essay done before I went to the 40 days for life thing.
We stood on the sidewalk in front of an abortion clinic. I didn’t realize we were SO close to it, and I was kind of glad it wasn’t daytime.
I was intimidated out of my MIND by grand rapids, though, standing with my back to the road at nighttime with people driving by and honking every so often.
There was one guy who is going to be there from 9 pm today to 6 am tomorrow! jeesh! at least he was wearing carharts and had hand warmer packets and stuff. That’s dedication, though. :]
I’m cold, still.
My essay’s done.
I have to make a survey for my communications speech.
I hope I’ll be able to find sources for it. :\
love, marah
